Clear explanations for our most commonly asked questions.
What am I required to bring with my pet?
We require all pets to come with a quick release clip collar that has ID containing at least the pets name and a contact number. If you don't have one, we will provide a rental collar for $2 per stay. We also require pets to be on flea prevention. If your pet is not on flea prevention, we will provide a natural flea spray for $2 per night.
We highly recommend bringing your pets food, we have fridges and freezers to accommodate different diets. You can also bring non rawhide chews! Please leave bowls, bedding, scoops, and non clip collars at home. We provide these items for every stay.
At the time of booking, we will also verify all vaccination records and any perceptions your pet may be on.
What vaccinations are required?
For dogs: we require DHPP (sometimes written as DA2PP or Distemper Parovirus), Rabies and Bordetella to be current.
For cats: we require FVRCP and Rabies to be current.
What's your cancelation policy?
We require a non-refundable $70 deposit per stay per pet, if you cancel your stay, your deposit will be forfeited. Other than that, you can cancel but we request at least three days notice so we can try to fill the suite. Emergencies happen and we completely understand this, but multiple last minute cancelations will result in a higher deposit or being unable to book. As a small business, we appreciate our customers respecting our time.
Why do you require flea prevention?
Our facility is surrounded by nature (we are Under The Oaks after all!) and flea preventative helps to keep fleas out of our facility. If your pet is not on a flea preventative, natural or traditional, we will add $2 per day for the application of an all natural flea spray called Wondercide.
No matter what prevention method is used, it isn't guaranteed to keep your pet flea free, but it is the best to try. All pets will be checked for fleas upon arrival, if we find any, a flea bath will be added at the customers expense to keep both their pet and all others as protected as we can.
When does the holiday fee apply?
