Meet Ruth, Elsa & Phillip

Hi there! We're Ruth (left) and Elsa (middle), the mother daughter duo behind Under The Oaks Pet Resort. This all started in November with hope, a dream, and a big-fat no! I brought this beautiful business, Canterbury Tails, to my mom wanting to purchase it - she was not amused. As daughters do, I kept it brewing in the back of my mind. Come March, something shifted and it felt possible. Lots of work later, and well, here we are!
We come to you from Pasadena, California and have owned our existing pet store for 20 years now. We specialize in holistic pet care and offer boarding, daycare, grooming, retail & training. Our top priority is taking care of your pets as if they were our own. 
Along with my husband, Phillip (right), we're bringing our experience to this beautiful pet resort here in Paso Robles. We can't wait to get to know you and we are so excited to be here!

We’re so excited to welcome you and your pet to Under The Oaks. Our core mission is simple: your pet comes first.
Dogs and cats aren’t one size fits all, their needs vary widely even on a daily basis. We recognize that and provide options to meet those needs. As experienced care providers, we’re constantly observing your pets behavior and figuring out what it means your pet needs.
Maybe it means your pet wants to be let into their house early, maybe they need more snuggles or more space. Knowing your pet’s history helps us do this, too!  
We offer a wide range of activities to keep your pets brain busy while they’re away! This is so important for high stress dogs, working breeds and really just to enhance any dogs stay!  
We want to help your pet live their best life at their home away from home, and help you have the best time away possible, knowing you don’t have to stress about them.
